Window Guide Blocks Assembly/Adjustment
WINDOW GUIDE BLOCKS
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Door trim panel.
2. Water deflector.
3. Inner belt sealing strip.
4. Loosen and allow rear wedge to drop.
5. Window guide blocks.
6. Position window to access three window sash to regulator bolts.
7. With the aid of a helper to hold the window, remove three window sash to regulator bolts.
8. Window from door.
9. Both window run channels from door.
ADJUST
1. Place window and run channels on bench.
2. Place guide blocks on window and secure loosely with bolts.
3. Place run channels fully into guide blocks and adjust guide block parallelism to run channel. A 12 mm (1/2 in.) gap should be achieved between edge of window and run channel.
4. Set guide block to alignment mark on guide block retainer as shown. Tighten guide blocks.
5. Door lower molding and adjuster access plugs must be removed to gain access to bevel adjusters. Set front bevel adjuster to mid point at this time. Approximately 12 full revolutions from the full inward or outward travel stops will be the mid point. Set rear adjuster full inboard to end of travel (tips door glass inboard). Leave molding and adjuster access plugs off at this time.
TIGHTEN
Follow Install and Adjust processes.
IMPORTANT: Visually inspect window position to mirror mucket. Mucket must overlap window a minimum of 3 mm.
6. With window still in full up position, raise rear wedge until it contacts rear edge of window and tighten wedge attachment screw. Use a thin flat bladed screwdriver in adjustment slot to prevent wedge from rotating when tightened.
TIGHTEN
Rear wedge screw to 3 Nm (27 lb. in.).
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Water deflector.
2. Trim panel.
3. Perform Blow Out Clip Entrapment Test:
^ Start engine.
^ Set climate control to maximum heat.
^ Turn blower fan on "high."
^ Open A/C vents and close door windows.
^ Exit vehicle and wait one minute.
^ Open door and slam door several times.
^ Verify that door window remains inboard of blow out clip.
^ From inside vehicle, cycle door window up and down then slam door several times.
^ Verify that door window remains inboard of blow out clip.
4. Perform water and wind noise test.
