Troubleshooting Hints

PROCEDURE
1. Check that the mirror is getting power from I/P Fuse Block Fuse #13 by observing that the label on the mirror is illuminated in the "MIN" or "MAX" position.
2. Check the Backup Lamp Switch and I/P Fuse Block Fuse #12 by checking operation of the Backup Lights.
3. Be sure photocells are not dirty or obstructed.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check. These circuits maybe intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
