Troubleshooting Hints - Gauges and Warning Indicators

PROCEDURE
1. Check I/P Fuse Block Fuses: 11-I/P INDC, 25-HVAC IGN, 33-HVAC BAT, 41-CORNR LP.
2. Check the indicator bulbs.
3. If more than one indicator is out, check the Instrument Cluster Circuit for flaws.
4. Check that grounds G200, G2O7 and G4OO are clean and tight.
5. Turn the Ignition Switch to "RUN" and observe all vacuum fluorescent segments. All vacuum fluorescent segments should turn on for approximately 2 seconds.
- If some of the vacuum fluorescent segments do not turn on for 2 seconds, service the Digital Instrument Panel Cluster.
- If no vacuum fluorescent segments light or if there are other symptoms, use Diagnostic Chart 1 found under the symptom, Fuel Level Display Inoperative or Inaccurate. Fuel Level Display Inoperative or Inaccurate

^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check. These circuits maybe intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
