Wiring Diagram:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When terminal "A8" at the CCM is grounded and the CCM wakes-up, the CCM is then configured as a Canadian vehicle, because this terminal is always "Low."
DTC WILL SET WHEN
Terminal "A8" loses its ground or receives B+ to it after CCM wake-up, that lasts longer than 2 seconds.
ACTION TAKEN
DTC 47 will set. Daytime running lamps might not work properly.
DTC WILL CLEAR WHEN
DTC 47 will clear after the fault is repaired, the ignition is turned "OFF" and back to "Run."
DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. This tests checks for a short to B+/open in CKT 251 or an unwanted ground (non-Canadian) at CCM "C1" connector, terminal "A8".
2. This test checks for a open in CKT 251. (Canadian vehicles only.)
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Non-Canadian vehicles will not have CCM "C1" connector, terminal "A8" grounded. If the vehicle is non-Canadian, remove any wire at this cavity.
If vehicle is Canadian and terminal "A8" has B+; repair short to 13+ in CKT 251. Do the "wiggle-test" at the CCM "C1" connector. Check for loose connections at the CCM.
