Troubleshooting Hints

PROCEDURE
1. Check I/P Fuse 35 by operating the Power Door Locks. If I/P Fuse 35 is open, check CKT 2040 for a short to ground.
2. Check that ground G200 is clean and tight.
3. If both mirrors are inoperative, check for poor connection at Outside Mirror Switch.
4. If only one mirror operates properly, check for poor connection at C501 (LH Outside Mirror) or C601 (RH Outside Mirror).
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check. These circuits maybe intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
