Troubleshooting Hints - Interior Lights Dimming
PROCEDURE1. Make sure Park Lights turn "ON" and "OFF" normally before proceeding with System Diagnosis, refer to "Exterior Lights," for Park Light diagnosis. Testing and Inspection
2. Check I/P Fuse #41. If I/P Fuse #41 is open, check for a short to ground in CKT 308.
3. Check I/P Fuse #42. If Fuse #42 is open, check for a short to ground in CKT 32, CKT 686 or in CKT 1370.
4. Check that G200 and G207 are clean and tight.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check. These circuits maybe intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
