Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

HANDLING PRECAUTION
Care must be taken when handling engine coolant temperature sensor. Damage to engine coolant temperature sensor could affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain coolant.
3. ECT electrical connector.
4. Carefully back out engine coolant temperature sensor from coolant pump.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Coat threads (ONLY) with sealer P/N 1052080.
2. Engine coolant temperature sensor in coolant pump. Tighten sensor to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).
3. Electrical connector.
4. Fill coolant.
5. Negative battery cable.
