INFORMATION

Subject:
Product Recall Campaign Quick Reference Card

Models:
1998 and Prior Cadillac Models

This bulletin is being revised to add the 1998 model year.

Please discard bulletin 41-01-02B (Section 0 - General Information).

Enclosed are six (6) Product Recall Campaign Quick Reference Cards. Included on this card is a brief description of all Cadillac Product Recall Campaigns, by model year, beginning with 1988.

Please ensure that these cards are distributed to dealer personnel who are involved with initial repair order preparation (i.e., Service Advisors, Service Writers, etc.).

This card should be used as a preliminary step in checking every new and used vehicle for campaign involvement prior to sale or service. Dealer personnel should also check underhood for a GM Campaign Identification Label and utilize the GM Vehicle Information Service System (VISS) to confirm campaign status.

Also included on this card is a CIPS Campaign Cross Reference Table. This table provides the "old" Cadillac campaign number and the "new" GM Campaign Information Processing System (CIPS) campaign number. Since CIPS campaign numbers now appear on all dealer campaign reports, and VISS continues to display Cadillac campaign numbers, this cross reference table should prove to be a valuable aid for dealership personnel.

Additional cards are available at no charge by calling the Cadillac Fulfillment Center at 1-800-892-2000, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. Please ask for Cadillac Item Number S-1012.

Any questions about product recall campaign administration should be directed to your Cadillac Service Representative.
