Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

TRY THE FOLLOWING CHECKS BEFORE DOING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
2. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. (Refer to Diagnostic Aids for General Troubleshooting Procedures).
3. Visually inspect Trunk Lid Release Solenoid connector and associated wiring.
