Power Mirror

UP-DOWN OPERATION
With the Mirror Select Switch in the LT position and the Mirror Control Switch in the UP position, battery voltage from Fuse C5 is applied to the LH Outside Mirror Assembly's UP-DN Motor through circuit 88 and the UP contacts of the Mirror Control Switches. The LH Outside Mirror Assembly's UP-DN Motor's ground path is through circuit 89, the Mirror Select Switch, the UP contacts of the Mirror Control Switches and circuit 50 to ground G304. The UP-DN Motor runs and turns the mirror up.

When the Power Mirror Switch is moved to the DOWN position, the voltage polarity to the UP-DN Motor is reversed. The motor is now grounded through circuit 88 and the Power Mirror Switch. Voltage is now applied to the motor through circuit 89. The motor will now turn in the opposite direction and move the mirror down.

LEFT-RIGHT OPERATION
The L-R Motor operation is similar to the UP-DN Motor operation. When the Mirror Control Switch is in the LEFT position, battery voltage from Fuse C5 is applied to the LH Outside Mirror Assembly's L-R motor through circuit 82 and the LEFT contacts of the Mirror Control Switches. The LH Outside Mirror Assembly's L-R Motor's ground path is through circuit 81, the LEFT contacts of the Mirror Control Switches and circuit 50 to ground G304. The L-R Motor now runs and turns the mirror to the left.

If the Power Mirror Switch is pushed to the RIGHT position, the same motor has power applied to it but the polarity is reversed at the motor's terminals. This causes the motor to run in the opposite direction moving the mirror to the right.

The RH Outside Mirror works the same way as the LH Outside Mirror when the Mirror Select Switch is moved to the RT position.
