Road Test

Perform the following road test and note system operation. If the cause of the observed malfunction cannot be determined by following troubleshooting procedures, proceed to Preliminary Checks. Preliminary Checks

Perform road test with cruise switch in On position and vehicle speed above 25 mph.
1. Momentarily depress Set/Coast switch in steering wheel pad and ensure vehicle maintains speed.
2. Hold Set/Coast switch in with foot off accelerator and ensure vehicle coasts down to a lower speed.
3. Release Set/Coast switch and ensure cruise control engages and holds slower speed if speed is greater than 25 mph.
4. Slide and hold Res/Acc switch in and ensure vehicle accelerates.
5. Release Res/Acc switch and ensure vehicle holds new, faster speed.
6. Tap brake pedal and ensure vehicle coasts.
7. Slide Res/Acc switch and ensure vehicle accelerates to speed set before tapping of brake pedal.
8. Tap Set/Coast switch and ensure vehicle speed decreases 1 mph for each tap.
9. Tap Res/Acc switch and ensure vehicle speed increases 1 mph for each tap.
10. Slide cruise switch in righthand switch assembly to Off position and ensure cruise control releases to manual operation.
