TECH 1, SERIAL DATA, AND CCM DATA DISPLAY
The data stream uses a 8192 baud rate on the data line (CKT 800). During normal vehicle operation, the PCM serves as the master of serial data; during on-board, the PCM polls other modules in the system for DTCs. When using the Tech 1, the Tech 1 will serve as the master module and interrogate the other modules in the system. DTCs will usually show up immediately in the Tech 1 display, when they have been detected by the H-A/C control or other system's modules. Current DTCs will be displayed in the Tech 1 with a "C" following the DTC. History DTCs will be displayed in the Tech 1 with an "H" following the DTC.

The Tech 1 cartridge used for the Tech 1 is mass storage cartridge #300000
Refer to the Tech 1 operators manual for further information on Tech 1 use and procedures.
