Low Oil Pressure Warning (Medium Chime)
When the engine is running and oil pressure is normal, the switch inside the
Oil Pressure Switch opens and ground is removed from terminal C1/D5 of the Instrument Panel Cluster. If the oil pressure becomes dangerously low the switch inside the Oil Pressure Switch closes and grounds terminal C1/D5 of the IPC. The IPC then grounds terminal C1 of the Chime Module at terminal C1/D2 through CKT 1845. The medium chime sounds until the IPC removes ground from CKT 1845. The DIC also displays the message "STOP ENGINE-LOW OIL PRESSURE."
