Steering Sensor Trim Position Adjustment

STEERING SENSOR TRIM POSITION ADJUSTMENT

1. Check for Road Sensing Suspension (RSS) steering sensor fault SO80. If present, repair before performing steering sensor trim adjustment.
2. Center steering wheel and verify that the front wheels are straight.
3. Connect the scan tool to Data Line Connector (DLC).
4. Ignition "ON," engine off.
5. With the scan tool, check output of steering sensor. Output must be between 2.0 and 3.0 volts. If out-of-range, realign sensor.
6. Proceed per instructions on the scan tool readout.
7. When complete, disconnect scan tool from DLC.
