Disarming the System
When the left front door is unlocked with a key, the Door Lock Switch closes. This grounds the door's input to the Body Control Module (BCM). The system is then disarmed and the alarm state will not become active when the door is opened. When the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) receives a transmission from the Key FOB, it sends a Class 2 serial data message to the BCM to unlock the doors. This message will only be sent to the BCM if the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver recognizes the transmission as a valid Key FOB. Therefore the BCM recognizes this in the same manner as a valid door lock switch disarm input.
Turning the ignition switch to any position out of LOCK will not disarm the system when the alarm is active.
Disarming The System:
The system disarms during the 30 second arming sequence under any of the following actions:
^ The opening of any door.
^ Unlocking the doors with the power door lock switch.
^ Unlocking the doors with the transmitter.
^ Unlocking the doors with the front door lock key.
Unlock the driver side door with the key or depress the UNLOCK button (1) on the transmitter to disarm the system after the system is fully armed or possibly tripped.
