Exhaust System Alignment

This vehicle uses primarily rubber exhaust pipe hanger insulators to mount the exhaust system to the underbody at fixed points. Adjust clearances if exhaust system noises and/or vibrations are present. Check the exhaust system clearance anytime all or part of the exhaust system is removed and/or replaced. Check for missing or damaged exhaust pipe hanger insulators and/or check for a damaged catalytic converter support bracket near the transmission if the specifications measured on the vehicle are not consistent. Check for underbody damage under the following conditions:
- All the exhaust system supporting devices are in good condition.
- The exhaust system has no damage.
