Headlamp Relay: Service and Repair

The low beam and high beam relays are located in the convenience center behind the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber directly below the steering column. Refer to the Label for the correct relay identification.

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the self-locking screws from the 1/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
2. Slide the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber upward to release the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber from the tabs.
3. Remove the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
4. Remove the low beam relay from the convenience center. Refer to the Label for the relay identification.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the low beam relay to the convenience center.
2. Slide the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber downward to secure the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber to the tabs to install the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.

3. Install the self-locking screws to the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.

Tighten
Tighten the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber self-locking screws until fully seated. Ensure not to strip the 1/P driver knee bolster energy absorber self-locking screws.
