Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors under Powertrain Management / Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the IAC valve electrical connector.

2. Remove the 2 retaining screws.

3. Remove the IAC valve.

Installation Procedure

Important: You can re-use the original gasket if it is still in good condition.

1. Thoroughly clean any gasket material from both of the sealing surfaces.

2. Install the gasket.

3. Install the IAC valve and tighten screws to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

4. Connect the IAC valve electrical connector.
