Antenna Assembly
The antenna is located on the rear window.CELLULAR ANTENNA INSTALLATION
External Foot with Mast
Remove or Disconnect
^ To remove, use razor blade or putty knife, cut double back tape material while lifting up on External Foot.
Install or Connect
1. Clean exterior window mounting area and External Foot with alcohol and dry thoroughly with lint free cloth.
2. Apply new double back tape. (Obtain repair kit from SPO).
3. Peel backing paper from exterior mounting.
4. Mount foot in center of window approximately 1 inch below dark edge shading on window.
5. Press firmly on all four corners to ensure proper bonding between adhesive and window.
Interior Coupling Box
Remove or Disconnect
^ To remove, use razor blade or putty knife, cut double back tape material while lifting up on Internal Coupling Box.
Install or Connect
1. Thoroughly clean Interior Coupling Box and interior glass at opposite mounting area of external antenna position using alcohol and dying with a lint free cloth.
2. Apply new double back tape. (Obtain repair kit from SPO.)
3. Peel back paper from interior coupling box.
4. Align Interior Coupling Box with exterior mount.
NOTE: Interior Coupling Box has RF connections, these connections point upward towards headliner.
5. Press Interior Coupling Box onto rear window using even firm pressure at all four corners.
Coax Cable
Remove or Disconnect
1. Right quarter trim.
2. Pull cable from behind headliner.
3. Cable from transceiver.
4. Pull cable through hole in rear shaft.
Install or Connect
1. Route coax cable from rear compartment through hole in passenger side of rear shaft.
2. Pull cable into interior of vehicle, screw onto RF connection on interior coupling box.
3. Slide coax cable under headliner to conceal.
4. Right quarter trim.
5. Plug cable into transceiver.
