P-Metric Sized Tires

Most vehicles use P-metric tires, and most of the sizes do not correspond exactly to alpha-numeric tire sizes. For example, a P205/75R15 is not exactly equal in size and load carrying capacity to an FR78- 15. Because of this, replacement tires should have the same Tire Performance Criteria (TPC) specification number as the original tires. If P-metric tires must be replaced with other sizes, consult a tire dealer. Tire companies can recommend the closest match of alpha-numeric to P-metric sizes: within their own tire lines.

See the tire placard on the vehicle or GENERAL INFORMATION for tire inflation specifications.
