Front Hub and Bearing

FRONT HUB/BEARING












^ Tools Required:
- J 28733-Front Hub Spindle Remover
- J 34657-A Hub Seal Installer
- Or Equivalents

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise vehicle and support frame with jackstands.
2. Tire and wheel assembly.
3. Insert drift punch into rotor and remove hub nut and washer.
4. Caliper and support. Refer to BRAKES.
5. Rotor.
6. Separate drive axle from hub.
7. Hub and bearing retaining bolts.
8. ABS wheel speed sensor connector from hub and bearing assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. ABS wheel speed sensor connector to hub and bearing assembly.
2. Hub and bearing assembly to knuckle.
^ Tighten hub and bearing retaining bolts to 95 Nm (70 lb ft).
3. Rotor.
4. Caliper and support using new caliper mounting bolts. Refer to BRAKES.
5. Install drift punch into rotor and partially tighten hub nut and washer.
6. Tire and wheel assembly.
^ Tighten wheel nuts to 160 Nm (118 lb ft).
7. Lower vehicle.
^ Tighten hub nut to 145 Nm (110 lb ft).
