Components

Aboard this vehicle are electronic components which can be controlled by the service technician to provide valuable self-diagnostic information. These components are part of an Electrical network designed to control various engine and body subsystems.

System sensors and switches are monitored by major components that comprise the computer system. These components are:
^ Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
^ Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)
^ Air Controller Module (ACM)
^ Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)
^ Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module (EBTCM)
^ Road Sensing Suspension Module (RSS)
^ Body Control Module (PZM)
^ Integrated Radio Controller (IRC)
^ Remote Function Actuator (RFA)
^ Climate Control Panel (CCP)
^ Cellular Telephone (PHN)

A combination of inputs from these major components and the other sensors and switches communicate with each other, either as discrete inputs or on the common communications link Called the Class 2 Serial Data Line (CKT 1807).
