Elapsed Time Description

Elapsed Time is calculated by the IPC as described below.
The stop-watch TIMER is available for display on the Driver Information Center by pushing the TIMER key to reach the Timer display on the Driver Information Center.

The TIMER display will be centered on the Driver Information Center with the following graphics:
TIMER OFF Hours:Minutes:Seconds
OR
TIMER ON Hours:Minutes:Seconds

Each of the fields for Hours, Minutes, and Seconds are two numeric digits.

For the Digital IPC only, if the TIMER is not displayed, pushing the TIMER button will change the Driver Information Center display mode to Stop-Watch Timer and display the appropriate graphics. If the timer is Already displayed, pushing TIMER will start the timer if it is not running and stop the timer if it is running.

If Display OFF mode is active, activating the TIMER key will cause the DIC to be illuminated with the Driver Information Center in the Timer Display mode.

Once the Timer is displayed on the Driver Information Center, the INFORMATION key will be used to exit the Timer Stop-Watch mode. The DIC will exit the Timer Stop-Watch display function and retain the mode of the Timer Stop-Watch in the condition it was prior to exiting.

The RESET key is used to Clear the Stop-Watch Timer to zero. With the timer displayed on the Driver Information Center, the RESET key must be held for greater than one second for the timer to be Cleared to zero. The Driver Information Center will display:

TIMER OFF 00:00:00
OR
TIMER ON 00:00:00

Pushing RESET will not stop the timer if it is running, nor will it start the timer if it is stopped. The ELAPSED TIME display mode can be exited by pushing the INFO key.

For analog IPC's only, pushing the "INFO" button to get to a "TIMER XX:XX:XX" display to turn the timer on, Push the INFO RESET button momentarily. Do the same to turn timer off. Pushing and holding the INFO RESET button for about 1 second will reset the timer to 00:00:00. Pressing "INFO" button will advance display to the next available DIC information display.
