Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS) Self Diagnostic Features

In the process of controlling the various subsystems, the PCM, IPC, ACM, SDM, TCS, RSS, PZM, IPC, RFA, CCP and PHN continually monitor operating conditions for possible system Malfunctions. By comparing system conditions against standard operating limits, certain circuit and component Malfunctions can be detected. A six digit alphanumerical "Diagnostic Trouble Code" (DTC) is stored in computer memory when a malfunction is detected by this self-diagnosis system. These DTCs can later be displayed by the service technician as an aid in system repair.
