POWER WINDOW SWITCH - FRONT DOOR

NOTE: The power window switches for the DeVille are retained in the same manner for all four doors, The differences are only in size and the number of functions the switches perform.

NOTICE: When removing a door trim panel or switch plate, disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch if a screwdriver, awl, or metal object is used to remove the switch from the harmess.






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Use a 1/2 inch wide flat-bladed tool to pry up on the rear edge of trim plate.
2. Insert the blade 19mm (3/4) inch into the door trim to engage retention clip. Press firmly toward switch plate to disengage clip.
3. Pull flat bladed tool upward while pressing firmly toward plate to pull plate from trim panel.

NOTICE: Before lifting switch plate from trim panel, insure that flat bladed tool has fully disengaged retention clip. Otherwise damage to switch plate or clip may occur.

4. Electrical connectors.
5. Switch plate.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Electrical connectors.
2. Switch plate by setting plate into trim panel evenly and pressing into place to engage clips on both ends.
