Feature Descriptions

ANALOG
Feature can be turned ON or OFF. When turned ON this will prevent phone from operating on a digital cellular phone channel. Fax transmissions can only be sent on analog channels.

AUTO ANSWER
Auto Answer can be turned ON or OFF. Auto Answer ON will automatically answer a call after two initial rings.
NOTE: If phone is left on and unattended with this feature ON, air time charges will occur.

AUTOLOCK
When AutoLock is active, the 4-digit Unlock code will be required before a phone call is made (or answered). Each time the phone is turned ON it will be in the Locked mode.
NOTE: Even when the phone is locked it is still possible to make a 911 emergency call.

AUTOMATIC REDIAL
This feature can be turned ON or OFE This feature redials a number that does not go through because of a cellular system that is busy. The phone will retry the number up to 5 times in 15 second intervals. Auto Redial can be canceled for the current number without entering the menu by pushing any key except PWR.

BATTERY (PORTABLE ONLY)
The phone comes equipped with a battery pack for portable phone use.

CC STATUS
Activating hidden will hide any sensitive numbers that you may have previously embedded.

FACTORY DEFAULTS
This function will erase all preset functions, all settings will return to factory presets. If this feature is used ALL settings must be reset to desired settings.

DIRECTORIES
Selects Directory 1, Directory 2 or Secret. After pressing STO phone returns to normal menu.
NOTE: If Directory names were changed the assigned names will be displayed. SECRET name cannot be changed.

DIRECTORY NAMES
Allows entry of a 12 character name for each directory except the SECRET directory which cannot be given a special name.

SECRET DIRECTORY
Numbers stored in this directory will not be displayed when it is recalled from memory if HIDDEN is also selected, refer to Secret Memory.

ESCALATING RING
This feature can be turned ON or OFF. This option causes your phone to progressively increase the ringer volume on each subsequent ring.

KEY TONES
This feature can be set for LONG, SHORT or OFF.
^ LONG - This setting causes a tone to be emitted for as long as button on keypad is depressed.
^ SHORT - This setting causes a short burst to be emitted regardless how long button on keypad is depressed.
^ OFF - This setting disables tones from being heard at all.

LOCK NOW
When activated, the phone will immediately lock, preventing unauthorized use. After it has been Locked the 4-digit code must be used to Unlock. The phone will remain Unlocked until phone is Locked again.

MINUTE ALERT
When activated the minute timer will sound a tone that can only be heard on phone users end, 50 seconds after every minute.

MICROPHONE MUTE
This feature can be turned ON or OFE Activating this option turns OFF the microphone so the person you are talking to cannot hear your voice. This allows for private conversation. To turn back ON, repeat toggle procedure.

NAM (NUMBER ASSIGNMENT MODULE)
Allows review of your own phone number. NOTE: Current number will briefly be displayed at initial phone power-up. Press CLR key to exit without making any changes. This Phone is capable of being programmed for four phone numbers at one time.

PAUSE
This feature allows numbers to be strung together separated by a Pause.

PRIVACY
This feature can be turned ON or OFF. Privacy is an encryption that scrambles your voice transmission so no one can eavesdrop on your conversation from another source.

RESTRICTIONS
In addition to the Lock features this phone has seven levels of call restrictions:
^ No Restrictions - No restrictions are placed on incoming/outgoing calls.
^ No Operator Assisted Calls - The phone will not accept calls that require assistance.
^ Local Calls Only - Only calls that are 7 digits long and do not begin with 0 are allowed.
^ Domestic Calls Only - Only calls that are 11 digits long and do not begin with 0 are allowed US and Canada calls only.
^ Memory Lock - Only phone numbers that have been stored into memory can be recalled or dialed.
^ Incoming Only - The phone will not originate any calls except 911 calls. The phone will still receive all incoming calls.
^ Place Calls Only - The phone will not accept any incoming calls.

RINGER
This feature can be turned ON or OFF. Turned OFF, this option disables the call ringer.

ROAM RECEIVE
This feature can he turned ON or OFF. When ON this feature allows the option to deny calls while roaming. Some cellular services do not support this function.

SECRET
Numbers stored in the Secret Directory remain hidden as long as hidden has been activated.
NOTE: Numbers cannot be automatically redialed from the secret directory when hidden mode is active.

SERVICE ALERT
This feature can be turned ON or OFF. when turned ON the phone will sound a tone to alert user that they have left their home service area and they are now roaming.

SYSTEM
There are five selections for system choice
^ Home Only - The phone will only operate when it is used in the cellular service it was originally registered.
^ A Only - The phone will only operate when it is able to use the A side of the system.
^ B Only - The phone will only operate when it is able to use the B side of the system.
^ A then B - The phone will attempt to use the A side. If not available, it will switch to the B side.
^ B then A - The phone will attempt to use the B side . If not available, it will switch to the A side.

SYSTEM ID
The system ID number that you are currently using will be displayed until CLR is pressed or a different function is used. The system is also known as SID.

TIMERS
When Last Call is selected the time of the last call will be displayed on the bottom of display. When Cumulative is selected, the total time for all calls since the timer was cleared will be displayed. To reset timer press XXX while the timer is displayed.
NOTE: Timers are close approximations only, they may not reflect actual elapsed time on bill.

USER ID
Allows the entry of a 12-character alphanumeric tag to personalize each directory by using the User Select command.

USER SELECT
Selects directory to USER1 or USER2.
NOTE: It is not possible to change user while in a call. All settings are independent of each other for USER1 and USER2.

VOLUME
Ringer, Key Tones, Earpiece, and Hands Free Speaker Volume can be set separately through the Volume feature. While in conversation the "S" key increases the called party's voice volume and the "t" key decreases the volume. With incoming calls the "s" and "t" keys increase or decrease the ringer volume.
NOTE: To change the volume of more than one function the process must be repeated.
