Memory Set

The Memory Seat Module (MMM) receives the inputs from the memory function switch. The current seat, seat back, lumbar, and mirror positions may be recorded for two different drivers. To record the current positions, the SET MEMORY button must be pressed and then a chime is sounded. Within 5 seconds, either the MEMORY-i or MEMORY-2 button must be pressed. When the MMM receives these inputs, it records the feedback voltages from the four position sensors for the appropriate driver. A single chime is sounded to acknowledge that the position was recorded. It also sends a Class 2 message to the Memory Seat Module (MSM), informing it of the SET MEMORY command. The MSM then records the feedback voltages for all seat position sensors for the appropriate driver.

An Easy Exit position for each driver may also be recorded. To perform this function, the seat should be moved to a comfortable exit position. The SET MEMORY button is pressed and a chime is sounded. Within 5 seconds, the EXIT button is pressed. The MMM will identify the driver for the last recall or set command and inform the MSM of the set exit command and which driver to record via a Class 2 message. The MSM then records the feedback voltages of the forward/back, rear height, front height, and recline position sensors for the appropriate driver. A single chime is sounded to acknowledge that the position was recorded.
