Service Electrical System Message

The IPC will display SERVICE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM whenever a Class 2 serial data bus request from the PCM is received. This message is indicative of an Alternator voltage out of range (below 10 or above 16 volts) with the engine above 500 RPM, for a minimum of 5 seconds. DTCs P1380 or P1381 (EBTCM related) will Also request this message.
