Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Perform the Body Control Module (PZM) System Check before performing horn diagnosis. This system check will help determine if the PZM is operating correctly, and if other circuits are malfunctioning.
2. Check SEATS circuit breaker in LH MaxiFuse(R) Block. If open, check CKT 742 (RED) for a short to ground.
3. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and harness connectors.
4. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
5. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. (Refer to "General Troubleshooting Procedures,") Diagnostic Aids
