Cassette Functions

TAPE - To toggle between TAPE and radio press AM, FM1, or FM2 and radio will play. To go back to tape function press TAPE.

EJECT - Pressing EJECT will remove the tape. This button will function even if the radio is OFF or the key is out of the ignition.

FWD and REV - Push FWD to go forward rapidly to another part of the tape. To go backward, push REV. To stop tape FWD or REV, push the same button lightly. The radio will play during fast forward or reverse mode.

SEEK - Press SEEK button for next or previous selection. SEEK will appear for next selection, REP will appear for previous selection. There must be a 3-second blank gap for proper operation. The tape direction arrow blinks during SEEK operation. Audio is muted during SEEK.

SCAN - Press SCAN to listen to selections for a few seconds. SCAN lights up in the display until the next selection is found, then PLAY appears in the display. Press SCAN again to stop scanning. Audio is muted during SCAN operation.

SIDE - Press SIDE to play the other side of the tape (causes the tape to reverse).

STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS - In vehicles With Steering Wheel Controls (SWC), Pressing the VOLUME control will increase or decrease the volume. Pressing the SELECT control with activate the SEEK mode Pressing it again will cause the tape to stop seeking and begin playing. Press SELECT to activate the REP (repeat) mode and search for the previous track. Press SELECT again to stop REP mode and begin playing.
