Integrated Chassis Control System Operation

The Integrated Chassis Control System (ICCS) is an interactive vehicle control system which can improve vehicle dynamics under all driving conditions. The ICCS system integrates the functions of the ABS, TCS, steering and in some models the suspension controls to improve the vehicles' response. ICCS is an additional level of control added to the ABS controller. The concept behind ICCS is that, if the car knows what the driver is trying to do, and if the suspension, brake, and powertrain systems can be manipulated electronically with high sensitivity at high speeds (response rates), vehicle performance (stability, handling, ride, acceleration and braking) can be significantly improved. ABS is initiated by braking, TCS is initiated by throttle, and ICCS is initiated by steering. TCS is functional only when the driver has not applied the brakes.
