Cornering Lamps

With the ignition switch in RUN, voltage is applied from the CORNERING LAMP Fuse to the turn/hazard switch assembly. The cornering lamps are permanently grounded to G101. With the turn switch in either LEFT TURN or RIGHT TURN, the voltage is applied to the respective cornering lamp. That cornering lamp then lights.

For DeVille export vehicles, the front park/turn lamps receive their park lamp voltage through the normally closed Position Lamp Deactivation Relay. The coil is also permanently grounded to G101. With the turn switch in either LEFT TURN or RIGHT TURN, the voltage is applied to the respective Position Lamp Deactivation Relay. The relay is energized and the switch opens, removing voltage from the park lamp side of the front park/turn lamps where a turn is indicated.
