Troubleshooting Hints
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. Check Engine Compartment Fuse/Relay Center HDLPS Fuse, FOG/DRL Fuse, MIRROR Fuse, IGN 1 Fuse, L HDLP LO Fuse, R HDLP LO Fuse, L HDLP HI Fuse, and R HDLP HI Fuse by visual inspection.
2. For DeVille, also check Engine Compartment Fuse/Relay Center DRL Fuse by visual inspection.
3. Check Trunk Compartment Fuse Block RADIO/PHONE Fuse by visual inspection.
4. Check that Headlamp Relay "A," Park Lamps Relay "B," High/Low Beam Headlamp Relay "C," and DRL Relay "F" is securely mounted in the Engine Compartment Micro Relay Center.
5. Check that grounds G101 and G205 are clean and tight.
6. Before component replacement, check that system connections are clean and tight.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
