Troubleshooting Hints - Interior Lights Dimming
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. Make sure Park Lamps turn on and off normally before proceeding with Diagnostic System Check. Refer to Exterior Lamps: for Park Lamp diagnosis.
2. If only one lamp does not light, check bulb, socket and related wiring (see schematic).
3. Check Trunk Compartment Fuse Block cluster Fuse, RLY IGN 1 Fuse, and IGN 0-BODY by visual inspection.
4. Check that grounds G201, G203, G204, G302, and G401 are clean and tight.
5. Before component replacement, check that system connections are clean and tight.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "G00D" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
