Troubleshooting Hints - Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check PARK/REV fuse in engine compartment fuse-relay center, If open, check CKT 1940 (ORN) for a short to ground.
2. Check shift mechanism for mechanical binding.
3. Check Shift Interlock Solenoid and Stop/btsi/Cruise Brake Switch for proper adjustment.
4. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems. (Refer to "General Troubleshooting Procedures,") Diagnostic Aids
