Automatic Door Lock Function

The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Receiver controls the Automatic Door Lock (ADL) feature. The receiver causes all the doors to lock, including the fuel filler door, when the automatic transmission control lever moves out of the PARK position while the ignition switch in the RUN position. Return the automatic transmission control lever to the PARK position to unlock the doors. If a door is opened after the front and the rear doors have already unlocked, the door will relock once it is closed only if the automatic transmission control lever is out of the PARK position while the ignition switch is in the RUN position with the brake pedal depressed. The automatic unlock feature unlocks the doors when the car is placed in the PARK position. Press the transmitter UNLOCK button four times within 5 seconds while keeping the brake pedal depressed to disable the automatic unlock feature. Press the LOCK button on the transmitter four times within 5 seconds while keeping the brake pedal depressed to re-enable the automatic unlock feature. The use of a scan tool may also disable the automatic door unlock feature. The scan tool must be used to re-enable the automatic door unlock feature if the scan tool was used to disable the automatic door unlock feature.
