Pop-Up Spring Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Hood Pop-Up Spring Replacement: Removal Procedure:

1. Raise the hood.
2. Back off the primary hood latch/pilot pin lock nut.
3. Thread the pin out of the hood.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Hood Pop-Up Spring Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Thread the pin into the hood.
2. Adjust the hood flush clearances.

Tighten
Tighten the primary hood latch/pivot pin lock nut to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

3. Lower the hood.
