Brake Pad Replacement (Front)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the caliper and support.





2. Remove the inner and the outer pads (1) from the caliper bracket (2).
3. Insect the following components:
3.1. Inspect the guide pins for free movement in front brake bracket. Replace guide pins and or guide pin boots for the following conditions:
^ Corroded
^ Worn
^ Damaged

3.2. Inspect the inner and outer pads for wear and maximum taper of 0.15 mm (0.006 inch). Replace the pads if they are excessively tapered.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Ensure caliper bracket mounting surfaces (1) are clean and lubricated.





2. Install the inner and outer pads (1) to caliper bracket (2).
3. Install the caliper.
