Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lift Points.
2. Remove the electrical connector from sensor.
3. Remove the sensor attaching bolt (46).
4. Remove the sensor (45) and seal (44) from transmission. Use and pressure to rotate back and forth while pulling outward. Do not pry on sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the sensor (45) and seal (44) to transmission.
2. Install the sensor attaching bolt (46).
^ Tighten the sensor bolt to 9 Nm (78 inch lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the electrical connector to sensor.
4. Lower the vehicle.
