Forward Band Servo Piston Removal

^ Tools Required
- J 23075 Forward Band Servo Piston Spring Compressor





1. Install J 23075 with the tool offset facing the rear of the transmission case.
2. Compress the servo piston assembly (106).
3. Remove the servo piston retainer ring (93).





4. Slowly release the pressure on the servo piston spring.
5. Remove J 23075.
6. Remove the servo piston assembly (106).
7. Remove the return spring (103).
8. The servo apply rod (102).
9. Inspect the servo apply rod for:
^ nicks
^ burrs
^ scoring
