BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES

Never connect or disconnect connectors with the ignition switch in the ON position.

Start all diagnosis with the Air Conditioning System Check. The system check leads to a specific chart or test. Finish all diagnosis by performing Functional Test to ensure correct diagnosis.

FAULT DETECTION

Upon detection of a system fault, the VF display on the climate control assembly will not flash. If a fault occurs in the ambient air temperature circuit, the VF display will not flash, however, the ambient temperature will be represented by dashes.
