TRANS HOT, IDLE ENG

The IPC displays the TRANS HOT, IDLE ENG message when the IPC receives a class 2 serial data line request from the PCM. The message indicates that one of the following two conditions exists:
^ The transmission is hotter than 144 °C (291 °F) for more than 32 seconds.
^ The transmission is hotter than 130 °C (266 °F) for more than 15 minutes. The transmission must be less than 120 °C (248 °F) for more than 5 seconds in order to clear the message.
