Engine Coolant Temperature (ISO Symbol) (Red)

The engine coolant temperature indicator is illuminated by the PC based on the coolant temperature information from the powertrain control module (PCM), or when the PCM sends a class 2 message requesting illumination via the class 2 serial data line. The IPC displays one of the following messages on the driver message center:
^ ENGINE COOLANT HOT, IDLE ENGINE
^ STOP ENGINE, ENGINE OVERHEATED

The IPC illuminates the indicator during bulb check.
