Installation Procedure

Description:

1. Install the SISM (4) to the door (5).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Vehicle Damage Warnings.

2. Install the SISM mounting fasteners (3).

Tighten
Tighten fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb.in).

3. Install the SISM harness connector (4) to the SISM (5).

Description:

4. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3) to the SISM harness (4) connector.
5. Enable the frontal SIR system and the LH side air bag. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
