CHECK BRAKE FLUID

The IPC supplies 5 volts to the low brake fluid CKT 849. The IPC monitors CKT 849 on IPC connector C2 terminal A11. If the brake fluid level drops low enough, the switch closes and CKT 849 grounds. The IPC detects this ground as less than 1 volt. If the circuit remains at ground for at least 1 second, the IPC completes the following actions:
^ The IPC displays the CHECK BRAKE FLUID message.
^ The IPC sends a class 2 message to the EBTCM.
^ The IPC illuminates the Brake indicator.
