Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the splash shield screws.
3. Remove the splash shield.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor/switch.
Important: Use a catch basin to catch escaping oil.
5. Remove the oil pressure sensor/switch.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil pressure sensor/switch.
^ Tighten the oil pressure sensor/switch to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor/switch.
3. Install the splash shield.
4. Install the splash shield screws.
^ Tighten the splash shield screws until fully seated and not stripped.
5. Lower the vehicle.
