Transmission Mode Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the gear selector boot from the console by gently pulling on the front end of the boot.

IMPORTANT: Do not pry the switch from console as damage to console trim panel may occur. Dislodge the switch from the console by reaching under the console opening near the gear selector.

2. Remove the connector from the switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the connector to the switch.
2. Install the switch to the console. Seat the switch fully.
3. Install the gear selector boot to the console by snapping the boot into place.
