Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from sensor.
3. Remove the sensor attaching bolt (46).
4. Remove the sensor (45) and seal (44) from transmission. Use hand pressure to rotate back and forth while pulling outward. Do not pry on sensor.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the sensor (45) and seal (44) to transmission.
2. Install the sensor attaching bolt (46).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

^ Tighten the sensor bolt to 9 Nm (78 inch lbs.).
3. Connect the electrical connector to sensor.
4. Lower the vehicle.
