Without Scan Tool
VEHICLE ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICSThe heater and A/C programmer and climate control panel (CCP) contains self-diagnostics that, when accessed by on-board diagnostics or a scan tool, are designed to identify the source of any system malfunction as specifically as possible, including whether or not the malfunction is current or the non-current (history) type.
On-board diagnostics only allow the viewing and clearing of the DTC(s). Any tests or overrides must be performed with the scan tool.
