Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the fasteners to disengage the insulator (2) from the lower instrument panel.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) as necessary.
3. Slide the panel rearward to clear the emergency brake bracket.
4. Remove the insulator panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Make sure the forward edge of the insulator is properly installed onto the studs at the front of the dash. Failure to properly install the insulator may result in brake pedal and/or accelerator pedal binding.

1. Position the insulator panel (2) under the instrument panel.
2. Connect the electrical connector(s) as necessary.
3. Install the insulator panel to the front retainers.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the fasteners to the insulator panel.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
